About this Event
VIDEO ON DEMAND April 9 - 11, 2021
Agnes Scott welcomes alumna Jacqueline Pardue Goldfinger `00 for a special Writers’ Festival theatrical production of her work, The Arsonists. Set deep in a Florida swamp, The Arsonists is a father-daughter tale of grief, loss and redemption. Inspired by the Greek tragedy Electra, this play with music is a contemporary American myth that explores the relationship between parent and child in that small space between death and life, the last breath before the awakening. Click here to view the Virtual Playbill.
For health and safety concerns the performance will be presented as an enhanced staged reading recorded using Zoom, a format now familiar to all. This Video on Demand option will be available during the weekend of the 50th Annual Agnes Scott Writers' Festival starting MIDNIGHT on Friday, April 9th until 11:45PM on April 11th.
All tickets for The Arsonists are provided free of charge. Agnes Scott College's students, faculty, and staff can receive passes by registering here. The general public can click here to access tickets at ShowTix4U. Members of the general public will incur a nominal processing fee of $2.50 per ticket. You may reach out for questions at 404.471.6248 or writersfestival@agnesscott.edu.
