William Isom II is a 6th generation East Tennessean and the Director of Black in Appalachia based in Whitesburg, Tennessee. There he produces documentary films, oral histories, research & data to raise the visibility of Black communities in the Appalachian Region. He is also the proud father of two men, Devin & Isa & papaw to Violet Blair. All members of the campus community are welcome to attend this lecture!
