Join us for a field day at the Soil Regeneration Site! While you won't be running relay races, you will be joining with sustainability-minded folks to help cultivate native species in the Soil Health Research Plot. The area is located just south of Bullock Science Center (the field between Woodruff Athletic Center and the tennis courts). Depending on the weather, volunteers may be:
- planting seeds (directly or in trays) and transplants
- raking mulch & managing weeds
- researching information
- designing bioswales and other landscape features
- collecting data on soil, insects, plants, and/or birds
- talking with community members about the project
Gloves and tools will be provided. Join for 30 minutes or the whole time! Students can sign up on ScottiesServe to receive volunteer credit hours.
