Student participants will spend the day learning the basics of coding and data management in R and then perform their own analysis of previously collected citizen science data on bird biodiversity in urban areas. Their data analysis would be presented at SpARC the next week. Students will need to attend full day and will be authors on the poster presentation.

10-10:30: Intro to science sprints and our goals for the day
10:30-11: Intro to Redlining and its impacts on human health and urban ecology & GIS
11-12:00: Intro to RCloud and eBird data
12-12:30: Designing your group’s research question for the day
12:30- 1:30: Lunch
1:30-3:00: Working in groups on your research project
3-4: Final group presentations.
