Dr. Mona Tajali and the class of POL 373, Middle Eastern Politics & Society welcome Dr. Kenzi Oumlil for a discussion of her book, "North American Muslim Artists Talk Back". This book focuses on the ways in which North American Muslim women artists "talk back" to dominant discourses about Muslim identity and work to counter mainstream stereotypes and representations. It examines the possibilities of constructing discourses of resistance to domination. All members of the campus community are welcome to attend this virtual event.
