About this Event
141 East College Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030
In telling a personal story through the films of French directors Jean Epstein, Jean-Luc Godard, and Chris Marker, Professor Kevan Morshed will also explore how these films relate to all of our experience of hearing, seeing, and thinking that is possible through cinema. The presentation will include many short clips of the films and a commentary throughout.
Professor Morshed recently moved to Atlanta with his family and is currently teaching French and Global Journeys courses at ASC. He has studied and lived all over the world and has graduate degrees in French Literature from St. Louis University and Classics from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He loves the sea, language, and learning on the move.
