Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Georgia will present on the state of infant and maternal health in Georgia, and make recommendations for ensuring that all women have a healthy pregnancy. The 2019 State of the State of Maternal and Infant Health in Georgia report summarizes the known data and evidence regarding maternal and infant health indicators in the state of Georgia. The purpose of this report is to continue to share current knowledge and projected trends of maternal and infant health outcomes in Georgia, as well as what can be accomplished to further improve the health of mothers and babies. Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Georgia conducted a research study in 2018 to determine the referral practices of providers for prenatal education & the content offerings of prenatal educators across the State. This session will review the results of the study and take participants through a toolkit that educators can use to ensure women receive the necessary information for a healthy pregnancy.
