Be the person on your team who can pivot. This course will provide you the fundamentals in applied statistics to prepare you for your career (and your graduate courses), covering data management, analysis, and reporting in Excel. Topics include data types, descriptive statistics, correlation, t-tests, ANOVA, and regression. Exercises include making pivot tables and charts, analyzing pre-post rubric data, choosing a forecasting technique, and creating reports. Some exposure to statistics (e.g., introductory undergraduate course) is helpful, but not necessary. Students taking this Bootcamp should be proficient in Excel as evidenced by the ability to 1) create and switch between multiple worksheets, 2) use functions and formulas, and 3) navigate the buttons and icons on the ribbon.
