As part of Native American Heritage month, the Gay Johnson McDougall Center for Global Diversity and Inclusion will host a public art exhibition. The Fourth Annual Red Dresses Exhibit will be on display in various campus locations as a haunting representation of the many Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, girls, and two-spirit peoples lost to violence. As of 2016, 5,712 American Indian and Native Alaskan women and girls have been reported missing - of those, only 116 cases have been logged with the U.S. Department of Justice. The exhibit will open on Monday, November 04, 2024 in the Alston Trellis Garden and will remain available to the campus and the public until Friday, November 08, 2024.
