The Joseph R. Gladden Jr. Public Lecture was established by the Agnes Scott College Board of Trustees in recognition of Gladden’s decade of service as chair, from 1992 to 2002. The Gladden Award is given annually to a member of the Agnes Scott faculty whose scholarly activities are especially noteworthy. Recipients are asked to give a public lecture to the Agnes Scott community on a topic related to his or her scholarly work.

This event is free and open to the public.
