The Gladden Award is given every year to a member of the Agnes Scott faculty whose scholarly activities are especially noteworthy. Recipients are asked to give a public lecture to the Agnes Scott community on a topic related to his or her scholarly work.
The Gladden Public Lecture Series is named for Joseph R. Gladden Jr., chair of the Agnes Scott Board of Trustees from 1992 to 2002.
